peace be with you
Welcome to Saint Martha's
Saint Martha's is a parish of the Diocese of Nashville located in Ashland City, providing the means of grace for Christians of Cheatham County. We welcome all the faithful, whether living nearby or passing through, for celebration of the Sacred Liturgy.
The parish is pastored by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Butler.
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Amen.

Confirmation Formation: (12+) - Video and book based
The sacrament of Confirmation may be received at the age 13 in the Diocese of Nashville.
St. Martha's Confirmation formation program will study from Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation by Ascension Press. Confirmation preparation is a two year program.
Teen & Adult Formation: (13+) - Book based
This program offers a comprehensive, deep-dive into Catholic teaching; bridging the gap between the St. Joseph Baltimore Catechism and college level Theology. This year's study will cover Fr. John Laux's book Mass and the Sacraments, first published in 1928.
At the end of each year we complete a 6 week Marian Consecration through
St. Maximillian Kolbe's Militia of the Immaculata.
The CGS program refers to the classroom as the "atrium." In the early Church, the faithful were prepared for initiation into the life of the Church in a place prepared for the spiritual life. They called this place the “atrium.” The atrium should be a place of spiritual retreat for children. A place of work, study, and prayer, where work and study become contemplation of God, and prayer.
The themes presented in the atrium are taken from the Bible and the liturgy (prayers and sacraments) as the fundamental sources for creating and sustaining Christian life at every developmental stage and, in particular, for illuminating and nourishing the child in his/her most vital religious need.
A few of the themes presented include:
-
The articles and gestures of the Mass and sacrament of baptism
-
Biblical New Testament stories of the incarnation
-
The prophecies that foretold of the incarnation
-
The land of Israel, where Jesus truly lived
-
A few of the Kingdom of God parables
-
The Good Shepherd
-
The History of the Kingdom of God (older children in level 2)
-
Moral parables (older children in level 2)
-
Prayer
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: (3-12 years old) - Montessori based
